Today I am going over my finances, and
preparing for my year end taxes and doing my typical review as to where my
money is going. It got me thinking, and I thought to invite you to do as I am.
If you preplan your charitable giving, I would like to remind you of the
opportunity to give monthly with SEND International to support me and the team
I will be joining to establish churches in cities with less then 2% evangelical
believers in Spain. My departure date is
fast approaching and I have yet to put out a giving initiative for others to
financially join me and reach the nations with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
I will be leaving to Spain by next
year or shortly after and I have to have at least half of my support before the
spring to continue in the training before my departure. So even promises made now for donations upon my departure date are
crucial for my departure to continue as planned. My team awaits me.
My first term in Spain will be for a
period of 5 years Lord Willing, and then I will be back to report to you and
visit you as I am able, sharing how the Lord is moving in the ministry in Spain.
I will also be regularly reporting from the field via my blog, e-newsletters and
emails. Also for any who are interested you can arrange to visit me or bring a
small team to come visit or help in the ministry. The plan after my visit home
here in Canada, is then to return to Spain once again for another term.
My
immediate family has already committed to support me for up to 20% of my full
amount required which is a huge amount and I am so thankful to them!!
If you are wanting to give, every
penny will be greatly appreciated, I do not expect nor feel any entitlement to
being supported whatsoever. It’s in the Lord’s care. It is terribly difficult
for me to ask for anything and to depend fully on God to provide for my day to
day, but it is amazing how much of a blessing that very dependence draws me
nearer to Him. I pray that the Lord would teach me how to work so diligently and
earnestly to make His every cent count; even now before I go.
You can make a one-time tax deductible
donation or even plan to make a monthly contribution for as long as you desire.
If I even had 100 people contribute at
least $35 monthly then I would be well on my way. I realize that even this
is no small endeavor and so if you cannot give anything I totally understand.
Or even if you begin giving and your circumstances change and need to stop
giving that is no problem. The Lord will continue to enable me in the work he
calls me to.
If this is something that you would
like to be a part of, you can contact myself or see giving instructions below
to donate today.
Merry Christmas!
Be Blessed!! :D
All my Love,
Melissa Bartel

their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to
God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who
are sanctified by faith in me. Acts 26:17b-18
